Throughout the history of capitalism, economic bubbles have been commonplace. They have emerged wherever liquid financial markets exist. The range challenges the imagination: from the iconic tulip bulb bubble, to gold and silver mining bubbles, to bubbles around the debt of newly established countries of unknowable wealth, to -- again and again -- real estate and stock bubbles.

Manhattan's Restaurant Row Aims
Measures to increase foot traffic on Manhattan's Restaurant Row—the Theater District block famous for its concentration of 31 restaurants but that is beset by challenges—are planned for installation in coming months.
By the fall, illuminated metal kiosks are expected on Eighth and Ninth avenues flanking West 46th Street to help highlight the row as a brand and attract passersby to its restaurants. Small lights running on solar power collected during the day will be installed in the sidewalk areas near the kiosks to add some new flashiness at night.
There are also plans to paint Restaurant Row's name and the slogan "Where the World Comes to Dine" on a few building walls facing a parking lot in the middle of the block. The signs are intended to echo painted advertisements on city walls that were popular in the middle of last century.
Tim Tompkins, the president of the Times Square Alliance,Xenon HID Worlds make hid lighting affordable to everyone and for all your vehicle needs. the business improvement district for the area, said plans for the kiosks grew out of talks starting in 2007 among residents and businesses about improving lighting on Eighth Avenue.
The conversations, he said, evolved into trying to find ways to strengthen the street's identity, particularly on the avenues. Driving the initiatives are a business climate that the street's restaurateurs characterize as increasingly more challenging.
"Restaurant Row has always been an entry portal for people going to Times Square or Hell's Kitchen, and Times Square has always been the brash older brother of Restaurant Row," Mr. Tompkins said. "The whole idea was to bring more attention to it from both the Hell's Kitchen side and the Eighth Avenue side."
The city officially designated the block as Restaurant Row in 1973, but its popularity as a spot for restaurants dates back decades before that, as dining establishments primarily catering to theater-goers took root on the ground floor of the street's 19th-century townhouses.
Challenges for the block have grown with broader changes in and around the theater district.
"Restaurant Row has a very strong historical character, but as Eighth and Ninth avenues became more lively themselves it lost its identity," said Barbara Wilks of W Architecture & Landscape Architecture, which designed the kiosks together with the graphic design firm Doyle Partners.Find great deals on Hmhid for HID Off-Road Lights products in LED Lights.
While the kiosks aren't intended to be "blatantly historic,We carry a extensive line of Parking Lot Lighting inventory." Ms. Wilks said the cutout lights in the metal bases are intended to reference theater lights and both those and the lights in the sidewalks are designed to be eye-catching for pedestrians.
There was initial skepticism about the plans among neighborhood residents. Most of aftermarket hid Slim/Normal Ballast HID Kit for motorcycle are similar or the same with following one.
"The rumors of the plans reached the community before the plans themselves and there was an assumption it would be Times Square-style lighting, like the bright lights of Broadway,How are solar outdoor lighting products different from other lighting, like fluorescent or incandescent?" said Andrew Bergg, who served as the president of the West 46th Street Block Association last year, when the community considered the plans. Seeing the actual plans relieved the concerns, he said.
A separate, but parallel, initiative will involve painting signs on the sides of buildings advertising the street in the manner of vintage ads.
"I was appalled because the banners seemed so suburban in this place with incredible authenticity," said Mr. Doyle. Under the current plans, he said, the signs will "emerge out of the surfaces that are there, which seems so much more authentic and true."
While they look forward to the extra pedestrian traffic that the kiosks, lighting and signs may bring, several restaurant owners and managers say such measures won't help with other things that keep diners from the block, such as the area's frequent traffic jams and the changing curtain times at theaters. Audi R8 V10 Plus
It would be easy to consider the Audi R8 little more than a Lamborghini Gallardo dressed up in a more sober, German-tailored suit. And in some ways, that description is a valid one. But it in no way expresses just how different the two cars are, nor that the R8 is very much an Audi.
Is that a good thing? Well, yes. Audi has become a brand best known for its ability to marry technology with craftsmanship; for cars that express both dynamic appeal and reassuring longevity. And when you’re spending more than R2-milliion on a sports car, those are all vital elements.
The comparison with the Gallardo stems from the fact that the cars share platform components and, in the case of the V10 versions, the glorious V10 engine, which is the handiwork of Lamborghini. After all, engines are what the Sant’Agata firm does best – which is why Audi bought the once ailing sports car maker in the first place.
It’s common knowledge that an all-new Lamborghini Gallardo is on the not too distant horizon, and that as before, a parallel-developed replacement for the current R8 will make its debut shortly after the new Lambo’s release. In that context, the updates to the current R8 line-up could be considered a last sprucing up before the arrival of the next-gen cars.
The R8 update package is mainly cosmetic, with subtle changes to the grille and bumper, the front and rear lights, and the interior execution. Most notable is the retirement of the old and clunky R-tronic automated manual gearbox,We turn your dark into light courtesy of our brilliant sun, solar street light, solar power generation. now replaced by a modern and super-slick seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission.
Also new is the addition of a new flagship: the R8 V10 Plus. Designed to be more powerful and perhaps more hardcore than the standard V10 model, the Plus is not a limited edition model like the R8 V10 GT,We have China Solar lantern products, reading lamps and floor lamps and more. but a permanent member of the line-up.
The Plus is offered in hardtop coupe form only, and while there is a manual transmission option, the S-tronic gearbox is considered standard.
The Audi R8 remains one of those head-turning cars that is impossible to ignore. Conceived as a competitor to the venerable Porsche 911 Turbo,A solar lamp is a portable light fixture composed of an LED lamp, a photovoltaic solar panel, and a rechargeable battery. the relatively small sales totals have ensured an element of exclusivity. Are you still hesitating about where to buy hid kits? You don’t see an R8 every day.
A grille with gloss black inserts and chrome detailing, and a front splitter with carbon fibre-reinforce plastic (CFRP) are specific to the Plus, as is the rear diffusor, and exhaust tailpipes finished in black.
The “blades” on each flank are also fashioned from CFRP, while the lightweight 19-inch wheels, shod with fat and grippy performance rubber are new, too. The headlights are full LED designs, with integrated daytime running lights that also serve as indicators.
But really, all of these are mere nuances: the squat and low-slung shape of the R8 remains unchanged,How to change your dash lights to residential lighting products this is how I have done mine. and rightly so. It still exudes a mix of sleek sophistication and brooding menace, and it’s still a real head-turner. Expect grins, waves and lots of cellphone photo opportunities when driving this machine.
The new Plus version of the R8 might be more hardcore in power and performance terms, but the cabin still offers luxurious accommodation for two. The lightweight bucket seats are the most obvious change, together with carbon fibre-look inlays, but the rest is pure, older-generation Audi. While it has all the mod cons, the execution is looking more than a little dated. More information about the program is available on the web site at www.indoorilite.com.

Pushing Microscopy Beyond Standard Limits
Until now, the physical limitations of microscope objectives -- their optical lenses -- have posed a challenge in terms of improving conventional microscopes. Microscope makers tackle these limitations by using ever more complicated stacks of lens elements in microscope objectives to mitigate optical aberrations. Are New Light Bulbs Really a ‘No Brainer?’
Energy conservation is kind of like that. Nearly all the savings I have produced over the years have come from changes made to complex energy systems in boiler rooms and electrical rooms, scary places where few people go. Not from insulation or new windows or making people uncomfortable.
When I am asked where I look for energy savings, my response is that if you want to save energy, you look at everything that uses energy. You look at everything that is connected to the electric meter, the gas and water meters; anything that is connected to the wires or the pipes from the meters. And the bigger the piece of equipment, the more energy it uses and the more complex it is, the more opportunity it probably offers for savings. The windows aren’t connected to the electric meter and neither is the insulation.
What about the lights? Of course they are connected to wires running through the building; of course, you should look at them. Everyone can understand a light; that’s a “no brainer.” Nobody is going to ask me about the part-load efficiency of the chillers or measuring the boiler stack temperature and adjusting the oxygen trim, or using outdoor air for free cooling depending on the difference between the outdoor and indoor enthalpy.
But light bulbs? Now,Choose your favorite hid lighting paintings from thousands of available designs. there is a great opportunity for savings. Let’s put in energy efficient lights. You replace 100-Watt incandescent bulbs with 25-Watt fluorescents and save 75 Watts for every hour they are on. You know how many hours they are on each week and you know how much you will save. You compare that with the initial cost and find that you will get your investment back in 10 to 15 years. When the local utility company and maybe the government kick in their incentive money, that period might come down to less than five years.
Of course, most of the work I have done using actual real-time and historical data from an energy monitoring system to simply tune up building energy systems through low-cost or no-cost changes had a payback of weeks or months, but let’s not confuse the people who are so certain that installing energy-efficient lighting is the best way to save energy.
I was in one of my clients’ buildings and walking down a hallway in a large high school, actually an underground tunnel between the main building and the gymnasium maybe a quarter of a mile away, and looking at the lights. At some point in the past the local electric utility had an incentive program that allowed the school to replace the original incandescent bulbs with new,This High Quality Street lighting provides reliability and low power consumption, as well as extremely bright lighting effects. energy efficient, screw-in fluorescents. The payback had looked good, particularly when the school’s contribution to buy the new bulbs came from the capital projects fund. It made sense because that money was easier to get than money from the operating fund,Choose from thousands of Wholesale LED Dashboard Lamp, even those hard-to-find bulbs, for your home or business. which was the one used to pay the electric bill.
As I was walking along, looking at the ceiling, it was obvious that the lighting levels under the different fixtures varied quite a bit and the color of the light coming from the fixtures was not uniform. With all of the same energy-efficient bulbs, the lighting in the hallway should be uniform. Something wasn’t right. So I got a ladder and start looking at the individual bulbs. It was 20 years ago but if my memory serves me, I found 23 different types bulbs in that hallway.
The schools sometimes ran out of money for parts midway through the year; they often had no money to buy the expensive replacements for the energy-efficient bulbs. So when a bulb burned out, whatever custodian was working at the time went to the supply room, took whatever bulb was on the shelf that would fit that fixture, and replaced the burned out bulb. It didn’t matter if it was a 40-Watt spot or a 100-Watt flood or a 200-Watt bulb. Our high-performance Why Solar LED are great for new projects or retrofits.
When the fluorescent bulbs were installed, the old incandescents were put in the storeroom. There was no way a school would throw away perfectly good bulbs.Wide selection of Solar street light in Delta state, torches, string lights and more. I wonder how that was factored into the ROI equation when the project was sold. And, of course, I forgot to mention, when those new energy-efficient bulbs were installed, they were saving so much money they just left them on 24 hours a day. Sydney homes turning sunshine into power
In May, the largest-ever solar photovoltaic system in Nova Scotia was installed in a Sydney home. It will generate up to 23,000 kilowatt hours of power annually — enough to supply almost all of the home’s needs. If you do your homework and insist on only the High Quality Solar garden lighting, you'll experience enjoyable modern solar LED garden lights can actually be.
Power produced from the system is first used in the home with any excess power sent back to the grid for credit under Nova Scotia Power’s enhanced net metering agreement. The credit is applied during the winter months when there is less sun available, and that reduces or eliminates the home’s operating costs on a year-round basis.
While still not as popular as traditional energy sources, the solar photovoltaic system is starting to grow in popularity, with several other Sydney and area homes also taking the plunge into the world of sun-produced power.
With more people using this form of energy, the once-prohibitive costs are starting to drop, says Brian Rose, the owner of a company devoted to solar power, Appleseed Energy, based on Janvrin’s Island off Isle Madame.
“It’s an electric panel that used to be pretty cost-prohibitive maybe five to 10 years ago but they dropped about 80 per cent in price in the last five years, so it’s really changed everything,” Rose said Thursday (July 18) while installing another system in Monastery.
“The key to these panels is that they last for a very,Most modern headlight designs include Wholesale HID Kit. very long time with no maintenance and they’re very, very simple, very robust. There’s a 25-year warranty on them, the inverters have a 25-year warranty on them, so it’s something that people can put in and see a real increase on their investment and the payback without having a bunch of ongoing costs.”
In the first 75 days, the Sydney system generated almost 4,000 kWh with their 85-panel system. Even during wet weather — such as the week of June 24 — it still generated 361 kWh.
According to Rose, on a good week, it could easily generate over 1,000 kWh. The products are maintenance-free, last a long time (a typical system has a life expectancy of 30 to 50 years) and have web-based monitoring that sends out alerts if there are issues, he said.
Rose became involved with solar power when he installed panels on his off-grid home 13 years ago.
And as people look for more ways to save on their energy bills, Rose believes more will become interested in the advantages of the solar photovoltaic system and how it will eventually allow them to save money.
“Our best salesman is Nova Scotia Power because they raise the rates and anything an individual can do to shield themselves from that helps.”
Chris Milburn has also had 15 solar photovoltaic system panels installed on the roof of his Sydney home.
Milburn did it because We have China Solar lantern products, reading lamps and floor lamps and more.he said he’s a dedicated environmentalist but also since the panel prices have come down,The world’s most efficient and cost effective hid lights? it’s also been a good financial move.
“It’s just your roof, it’s not exciting to have around but with the new online monitors I can go on the Internet on my smartphone here and say, ‘Oh, I just produced 15 kwh of power,’ so it’s pretty neat and I can get a sense of how much energy I’m producing and what my house is using,” Milburn said.
There are currently no subsidies for solar photovoltaic systems in Nova Scotia, something that Richard Vinson, chair of Solar Nova Scotia, hopes will soon change.LED solar lights for project list and power.
“Hopefully the government of Nova Scotia and Canada will soon encourage the wider use of (photovoltaic) energy by providing a rebate or feed-in-tariff available to all Nova Scotians to help offset the cost of installation,” Vinson said. Click on their website www.soli-lite.com for more information.

Solar enjoys rapid growth in N.M
Call the good fortunes of Paradise Power Co. in Taos, a small, family-owned solar power and electrical engineering business started in 1979, a reflection of the sea change in the solar industry in New Mexico since 2000.
For 20 years, the company founded by Michael Weinman only provided off-grid solar systems for people in remote places, and it did general electrical contracting work to keep revenue flowing. It averaged a few hundred thousand dollars a year,We can produce all kinds of solar module even according to your own designs. said Dan Weinman, who took over the company from his father in 1998.
But since 2000, when PPC Solar began offering grid-tied solar systems throughout northern New Mexico, revenue has leaped, reaching $425,000 in 2008, and $2.5 million last year. It opened a new office in Colorado Springs in 2012, and this year, it began serving customers in southern New Mexico.
PPC’s rapid growth earned it fourth place on the 2013 Flying 40 list of fastest-growing New Mexico technology companies with under $10 million in revenue.
Weinman said PPC’s good fortune reflects a sea change in the solar industry since 2000, as customer-owned photovoltaic installations and utility-scale solar plants go mainstream.
“It used to be just for people beyond power lines, but today, everyone wants a grid-tied solar system,” Weinman said.
Nationally, residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV installations are growing rapidly. Solar PV grew by 76 percent in 2012, with enough solar generation in place across the country by last December to supply power to 1.2 million homes, according to the Washington, D.C.-based Solar Energy Industry Association. And, in the first quarter of 2013,We are professional wholesale best OEM and ODM services, large LED Dome / Reading Lampwholesale order. solar PV grew another 33 percent nationally compared to the first three months of 2012.
New Mexico’s growth mirrors national trends, although in raw numbers, the local market for residential and commercial installations is much smaller than in states with larger populations.
A total of 24 megawatts of solar PV capacity was installed statewide in 2012, with enough PV generation as of December to power nearly 39,000 homes, according to statistics compiled by Albuquerque-based PV installer Consolidated Solar Technologies.
At the utility scale, the state’s electric companies are expanding solar-generation capacity. Public Service Company of New Mexico, for example, had 22 MW of PV plant power as of 2012, and this year, it’s adding another 20 MW. First Solar Inc. also will begin building a 50-MW PV plant this year to supply El Paso Electric Co., making it the largest solar plant in New Mexico once completed.
As for residential and commercial PV systems,LED modern lighting is aesthetically designed and offers features to reduce egress system cost. the market is still growing at a rapid clip. In PNM’s service territory, 3,300 customer-owned or sited PV systems were connected to the grid as of mid-June, said Kumiko Styes, manager for PNM’s customer solar program. That’s up 27 percent from about 2,600 customer PV systems in October 2012.
“We’re as busy as we’ve ever been,” Styes said. “Lots of customers are applying (for PNM’s solar subsidies), and we’re interconnecting people every week. Interest remains very high.”
Market growth has spurred a vibrant local PV industry, with 61 companies now employing about 1,100 workers around the state, according to Consolidated Solar. They include 32 solar PV installers and 11 manufacturers, plus distributors, project developers and firms that provide financing, engineering and legal support.
Like PPC Solar, many report rapid revenue growth. Consolidated Solar,This solar system provides reliability and low power consumption, as well as extremely bright lighting effects. which had about $17 million in revenue in 2011, has continued to expand by about 30 percent annually.
“We project about that same growth rate for this year and next,” said owner Jerry Mosher. “The industry just seems to be getting bigger, faster and better. You will never need to change the bulbs and your car led will last for years and years.” More information about the program is available on the web site at www.hmhid.com.
